Not defending the Gold Farmers (hope Cryptic hammers them soon), but what necessary market? I've done a few fleet actions, but have been doing a lot of exploration and missions during Head Start. The energy credits come easy, and I've got a good number of blues and greens on my ship and away team, just from drops and mission rewards.

This. theres no reason for it to be BoE loot. if cryptic really wants it to drop BoE loot, then have it always drop a BoP, and a small chance at a BoE piece. Couple this with pre-missions, such as on SB24, and voila, no more farmers.

Na, even more simple is: bind on pickup on every item from this one particular fleet action.

Players themselves will be to blame if they buy this stuff.

When you can get some top notch gear from doing repeatable explore or pvp missions and buy them with badges it just goes to show that anyone who buys exchange items like this is dumb by making it profitable for them and you have to be so obsessed to attempt to have the very best then you are to blame for the farmers.

I have outfitted my Lt Commander T2 Escort Ship with a plasma Canon and a plasma phaser just got a quantum torpedo launcher IV and working on getting the Plasma Torpedo Launcher for the rear.

I have also obtained new consoles -

So you can get extremely decent gear by working for it with explore missions or PVP if you choose.

If no one buys this stuff then the farmers will soon realize there isn't a market and their time is better spent back in wow or other games that do no give you decent gear options like Cryptic.

The gear NPC's for explore is in SOL 2nd level above the group of ship design npc's take the ramp up and into the turbo lift. Grall gives out the missions. 15 min wait time on the repeatable missions.

PVP merchants and mission givers are on K7 in the neutral zone.

Eliminate them by ignoring the exchange. That is what I am doing since the quest rewards and the badge purchase items are all I need.

ya sure. and in the end any drop will be bop -> death market. Is it that what you want?
I think it's a waste of time and effort to farm low level stuff. It's better to level to maxlevel first and then start to farm. In all MMOGs I have played this was the fastest way to make money.

well, they could limit that fleet action to once per day only and make the blues that drop
bind on pick up only.

They need to stop high level people in there farming. Noone have a chance with them in there. I also agree with bind on pickup and I wouldnt be surprised if this gets changed soon - it did in Champions a week or so after release when we had the same problem.

You dont need credits in this game. In open beta I was spending credits just to get the better weapons as fast as I could. Soon I found out you get these weapons by just doing the missions. I have not spent 1 credit on my current character or his away team. I think the designers of this game made the 1st tier missions fairly easy and took the economy out of the game. I noticed the 2nd tier missions were getting harder and Im not sure if I can stay away from spending credits. This game is an action game. Thier is no economy and you dont need one.
