Exactly making my point for me. 00:00 - 03:00 PST would put the downtime right smack in the time I play my games.
I doubt alot of families play from midnight till 2am together.
You've completely missed the point of the thread - at no point did i start a campaign to change the downtime, i just wondered if people were in the same boat, seems there are a few who are/understand.
It's 9pm soon, I just got home, cooked and ate dinner, sit down, oh look server down in 20 minutes. When are most people at work/school at 9pm? It may be very convenient for YOU, but that doesn't mean it is for everyone.
As I said in another thread, Cryptic need to rotate the down times, so everyone shares the burden of them, and not just stick to them us. I can tell you for a fact last night at 9pm, the queues were popping fast and hard, and I was straight out of one game and straight into another, within a 30 seconds to a minute, If that.
So clearly people are playing during this time.
I just want it shared around, instead of eating the short straw every single patch.

Regardless of what maintenance time they pick, there will always be people that are affected by it as we have people from all over the world with all kinds of work-schedules. The current 03:00-05:00 PST / 12:00-14:00 GMT is fairly decent as it avoids prime time in the 2 major markets: Europe and the US.
Seems like a good time to me. I'm usually in work, but when I'm not, having a break to get some food in me, shower and shave, and get a couple of things done around the house seems great.
Eve had the same downtime if I remember rightly from when I played that (but it was 1 hour).
I get up at 8am and start playing shortly after so roughly 3 hours of play if I'm lucky then a couple hours break ~ perfect.
Simple point, i work evenings so i generally get all my playtime in during the day, however whenever there's any of this rare 'scheduled' downtime, it's smack bang in the middle of the GMT day - Surely it's possible to make this downtime 12-3 PST making it, 8-11 GMT which cushions the blow slightly. I'm aware it's a minor thing to nerd-rage at but, i dont get a great deal of play time, then when i get a free day (up until work) to eat half of it with downtime.
Basically, i really cannot see the relevance of the PST times, shifting them back a few hours isn't going to make a great deal of difference because 8/10 players will be in bed anyway. I doubt Cryptic will even glance at this post however, maybe someone out there cares!
Perhaps there isn't a 'weekly' maintenance - making one day ever now and then.. not quite so bad, but i haven't caught wind on this subject yet so - please leave me better informed otherwise.

This man, god bless his soul, works nights and the current server maintanance time is absolutly uncalled for. Cryptic should change it so this man can play his game.
