# 1 Back-Ordered! Seriously?

I ordered through Best Buy and when I went to check the status of my order it says its Back-Ordered!
How is something that is Pre-Ordered, Back-Ordered?
I ordered it ahead of time therefore you should already know to make that copy available.
Thats like making a Reservation/Appointment and then still having to wait.

Ouch, that bites. I'd be curious if there was any STO on the shelves in your local Best Buy? I'd have to ask the manager about that one.

I had something similar happen to me with a WoWhammer pre-order. I complained by email, and they replied to that if I had a local store, I could print out the reply, take it to the store and get a retail copy there. They gave me a copy at the store with no problems.

OK this is beyond BS now.

I just checked the "Estimated Arrival Time" for my order and it states 2/16/2010-3/2/2010
2 WEEKS TO A MONTH! ARE YOU F'N KIDDING ME!?!?!?!

Cryptic is only giving Pre-Order people till the 2/4 to add their Retail Key in order to keep playing.

Im not going to be locked out of a game I paid for because Cryptic/Atari didnt make enough copies.

Wow, Cryptic needs to address this.

Maybe print off your pre-order information, and head to your local Best Buy and talk to customer service there. They might be able to figure that out for you. Sounds better than the ship dates given, as I don't think Cryptic is going to have a grace period that long.

It's quite possible that Best Buy simply underestimated the demand for this game and didn't order enough copies of it. This isn't necessarily Cryptic's fault.

Do you have any GameStops in your area?

If not, there's always Steam or other digital delivery services.

People seem to never learn that best buy is SO not the place to go for these sorts of things. I've seen so many people complain about best buy game launch after game launch. I'm just lucky I've never been a best buy fan I guess.
