# 1 Beam out effect question.

When I make an NPC who is already using a animation (bound sitting) vanish I want the beam out animation to play. How do I do this?

You can't. You're best bet is to have the NPC "hide" after said objective completes.

Actually, I believe it is possible, but there's a trick to it. I've not tried this before, but what I think you do is have another NPC spawn in and out immediately at the same time and location your original NPC, and set the second NPC's animation to Beam Out.

IIRC, the problem can be complex b/c the beam out animation will loop, so you have to be pretty tricky like linking the disappearance/replacement and immediate beam out to a series of reach markers. So, in the scenario, I'd have to have the player move in a specific direction in order for him to see one NPC replaced by another who does the beam out animation and disappears from a different trigger.
