I've been playing all evening, I just got one crash (video card) without any trouble reconnecting, almost no lag...

I'm really pleased with the improvements. Good job guys continue like that !

Link to the news article.
didn't you see this coming..? I mean in the open beta you already had problems keeping the servers up, even after the rush order of extra servers...

IMO you're kinda late to take action to get more players in at any given time

Sweet. Keep up the good work folks. Server performing well so far on Launch Day, it seems.

They've known about this problem for some time, the fact it wasn't fixed before launch shows they still have much to learn when releasing an MMO.
I am chalking up the delay to the pipeline new hardware has to go through to reach them. I want to stay as positive as I can.

p.s. I remember WoW had a moment like this at its beginning. They had the hardware on order but it took longer than anticipated to get to them.

Good to hear. And today the servers have been great I must say. I was half expecting the whole thing to fold but looks like the downtime you took over the past couple of days for maintenance has really paid off.

Great, though why the delay? You should have had reasonable projections as to opening day numbers. This isn't like WoW's release where previously unheard of numbers came flocking to the game.

In any case, congrats, sounds like STO is off to a good start commercially. Please work hard to earn that fan support and it likely will continue.
