these help forums aren't the proper place to demand help.... you need to try to send an email, or call through the official support channels.

What computer setup do you have, what ISP, are ports blocked, does your isp have traffic shaping?

Throwing around baseless accusations and insulting the poeple you are asking to help you isnt going to get you far. Especially when you wont give out any information.

i have exactly the same problem atm, funny thing is... i have been playing fine completely lag free for 3 days, but now its started saying "SERVER NOT RESPONDING" on loading screens and on all instances.. also i got randomly stuck in a random space encounter and i can see everyone else fighting... without lag yet i cant move or do anything and sometimes i cant even see my ship or spawn.

Run through these steps to make sure it's not something simple first,

1.) If you are using a wireless connection, disable the wireless
connection and connect to your router or modem with a network cable and
confirm that you have internet with the wired connection.

2.) Make sure to close all other programs including programs that run in
the system tray (the little icons next to your clock).

3.) If you have a software firewall please make sure it is allowing all
network traffic (by not blocking any ports) and shut it down and make
sure it is no longer running.

4.) If you have any software that monitors web/network connections
disable the monitoring and shut them down or uninstall them. Some common
programs that block/monitor network traffic are Zone Alarm, Net Nanny,
Ad-Aware, Windows Defender, Kaspersky, Snort, Wireshark, Norton
products, McAfee products, Eset Nod32, Trend Micro products, Barracuda
products, Panda Internet Security, AntiVir, F-Secure, CA Anti-Virus Plus.

5.) Run the nettest tool
a.) Download the tool by clicking this link and save it to your desktop
http://files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe
b.) Double click the file and let the program run
c.) If any of the numbers in the third column come back as 0 KB/sec then the port listed in the second column are being blocked. Check your network monitoring software again to make sure they have an exception for our game.

6.) Try the Cryptic Proxy:
a.) Start the game client
b.) Enter your username and password
c.) Let the game patch if needed
d.) Click on the Options button at the top of the launcher screen and change the Proxy drop down to EU or US
e.) Click Play!

7.) Once you find the program or piece of hardware that was blocking communication to our servers, please make the appropriate exceptions with that software/hardware and make sure you enable your Anti virus/Protection software again.

If these steps do not work for you, Please contact the Technical Support department so they can help you through your issue directly. Technical Support can be contacted by phone or through the help ticket system.

Please go to this link to submit a ticket (link near the top) http://www.startrekonline.com/support/tech

Or call the Technical Support department at (USA) +1-408-404-1714 / (UK) 0870 490 0617

Have you guys thought about contacting the folks at PortForward.com to give them the ports the game needs? =-]

Thanks for providing this information. I'll be sure to update things on my end.

I did this and It completed and said "Hit Return to escape"
Does that mean it's all good to go on that front?

The nettest tool will try to send and receive data on the ports that the game uses. If the number in the 3rd column is lower than 150 the port may be getting blocked or filtered.

contacting nettest server..
Local IP: 208.xx.xxx.xx
Ping: 90.9 msec
Port: 80: 492 KB/sec 15 KB/sec 524 KB/sec 500
Port: 80: 352 KB/sec 13 KB/sec 375 KB/sec 500
Port: 443: 500 KB/sec 13 KB/sec 533 KB/sec 500
Port: 443: 496 KB/sec 13 KB/sec 526 KB/sec 500
Port: 7255: 114 KB/sec 7 KB/sec 155 KB/sec 500
Port: 7255: 98 KB/sec 14 KB/sec 523 KB/sec 500
Port: 7003: 114 KB/sec 15 KB/sec 528 KB/sec 500
Port: 7003: 120 KB/sec 8 KB/sec 210 KB/sec 500
Port: 7202: 191 KB/sec 8 KB/sec 206 KB/sec 500
Port: 7202: 494 KB/sec 14 KB/sec 524 KB/sec 500
Port: 7499: 498 KB/sec 14 KB/sec 533 KB/sec 500
Port: 7499: 183 KB/sec 8 KB/sec 198 KB/sec 500
Port: 80: 205 KB/sec 8 KB/sec 230 KB/sec 500
Idle NIC bandwidth Send: 4 KB/sec Recv: 3 KB/sec
hit return to exit

in this example I would need to check that my security program has a rule to allow STO to send and receive data with the Cryptic Servers, or I my security program will not make rules for a whole program I would need to make sure ports 7255 and 7003 were not being blocked or filtered.

Do you mean the third column in general or the third column of numbers (Realistically the 4th Column)
because all of my 3r'd column numbers are well over 150 but the 4th column numbers are over 100 for the first 3 ports and then under 20 from there on
