Form a premade, learn how to work together. It's the only way you'll win consistently.
Bingo.

Fed for PvE, Klingon for PvP. If people level up mostly through PvE, then get ***** in PvP, the problem doesn't lie with the other guys. You can be the ultimate single player badass in BF, Halo or CoD, whatever version, but when the opponents can repeatedly out play you because it's a brain and not a chip making the decisions, you're probably just not as good as you thought. Teamwork, baby. That and VOIP.

What we are really afraid of however is a kneejerk reaction on cryptic's part like they did in closed beta when they changed the damage roloff range on ALL CANNONS because of feds crying about tier 1 pvp.

That was seriously a faceroll move by the devs - to nerf an entire class of weapons because the 'pve' dudes couldn't be bothered to put in half the effort in pvp that the pvp guys were. Totally unrelated nerf. Out of the blue.

That's why we administer the periodic smackdown to mouthy new folk. They are dangerous in numbers because lazy developers come in and count topics and come away with a note written down in ballpoint pen on the back of their hand "players complaining about kdf again. nerf?"

A swift kick in the mouth works wonders to make people realize they are shoddy newbs, and need to get back to the game and take a break from the forums a bit. People get so worked up and excited about their little topics, no matter how little merit it might have.
Ah yes, we all know how fair it is for PVPers to fight against PvEers. Why not make a sign that says "Stay out of PvP, unless you're good at it."

Seriously, you constantly whining about Federation wanting to fight equally is amuzing. You keep on forgetting that Klingons are made for PvPers, while Federation players are 90% PvE with little PvP experience. So either live with the canned hunt or have Cryptic revise PvP so that weed out the PvPers from the PvEers.

because ground is even more OPd for klink then space. Taking 150-200 dmg a shot and doing 15, with an exploit to the back is so totally balanced.

Hah, I remember playing a game against you yesterday. Rickert, right?

The ground game is the same for everyone. Same weapons, same classes, same kits. If you shoot someone with a blue Mk IV shield in T2, who has blown cooldowns to boost their shielding, your damage is going to be minimal.

And if this is Rickert, no, traveling in a group and using cover to replenish sheilding is not a "cowards" move. Nor is it cowardly to run from 3-4 people when you are alone. It's naive of you to not expect teamplay in a team deathmatch game.

On the ground we have the same kits, same weapons, same armor, same classes, same skill trees. How dare they give both sides the same stuff (well until T3+ because our PvP medal kit vendor is borked and we have no way to earn exploration badges after T2). Damn OP Klinks.

I have been in many 5v5 KvF matches (space & ground) where the Klingons rolled through the Feds, and many where the Feds have mowed through the Klingons like they were not even there. Its not the equipment, if anything the Federation has access to way better equipment than the Klingons do. Its usually the coordination of the players.

If you queue solo, expect to lose. That's it. Period. You'll likely run into a 5 man pre-made on Vent that have assigned (and fully specced and equiped) healers that don't do anything else, someone calling the targets to be focus fired on Vent, and a well rounded group. While you may end up with 3 Escorts, never even group and try to fumble with typing let alone voice comms, and two empty spots.

I usually group, but sometimes queue solo, and when I do I expect I'll lose, but I still have fun playing. It is also quite obvious when I go up against Federation teams that are grouped and working together vs. those who are obviously not. Half the time my pre-mades lose to Federation pre-mades so I'd say that's pretty balanced. You cannot balance the unorganized vs. the organized without breaking the game.

Also, if you win about half the matches you participate in your doing great. You can't win every-time, if you do the other side will all quit. I'm happy winning 51% of my PvP matches (note: I actually win many more than that because I R l33t of course, lol).

but not the same damage ratio. Like I said, getting shot for 120-150 a pop and only able to do 15-20, to an exposed target with an exploit weapon, in the back, is not balanced.

Hell, my flanking dmg is normally around 10-15 when Im constantly getting hit for 50+ at the lowest. The gear is the same but not the damage ratio.
