The only reason "Dyson" is used at all is because the Solanae built something earthlings recognise and label as a Dyson sphere. For all we know the Solanae might have called it a Dave Ball.

"Dyson technology" refers to the materials and science needed to construct a sphere around a star. Nothing much to do with ships that transform and secondary deflectors. That should be referred to as "Solanae technology".

I noticed that in the new episode, the ship you fly at the end comes with three consoles...I didn't see what they were, but you don't get them with the reward ship, so I was wondering if they're a C-Store thing?

And does anyone know when the C-Store version of the reward ship is actually going to be available?

why i said it should be name the Dyson class, was because the ship in the episode was the USS. Dyson. tuvok said it was an experimental design, meaning it's possible that it is the first in the class. and star fleet always named a class after the first ship in the class, much like the US navy names a class of ship after the first ship in the class.

i could be tottaly wrong about it being the first ship in the class, but i still think Dyson class star ship sounds better then Solanae class star ship

I bloody LOVE this ship!

I spent some spare Lobi to finish the rep for it last night and have it loaded out with the mission space set. This thing is a MONSTER! Set it up for tact mode and watch the cannons slide out of the wings while the top of the hull beefs out . . . the transformation is pretty cool.

I put fleet AP DHCs on the fore with KCB, the 360 AP beam and a fleet AP turret aft. My toon is an ENG and this thing was getting 3-5K per shot WITHOUT attack pattern buffs. My SCI Boffs were doing MASSIVE damage with the set and think Im going to check this bad boy out on Ker'rat later tonight (however that Romulan version looks pretty sick with its BATTLEcloak . . . ).

I also want to try it with different space sets. The KHG shields not only made it look more Klingon but whatever modifiers were involved REALLY beefed up it defense when I put them on - I've been debating using them instead of the other space set shield bonus. Sadly I had to sleep last night so 5am was quitting time.

Damn you Cryptic . . . damn you. LOL

I took screenshots of the console set that appears in the new FE Tuvok episode (I've included links to screenshots of these console abilities (Science and Tactical). This is the console set that Cryptic has not made available and appears on the Dyson ship that appears in the new Tuvok featured episodes.

Apparently, the console set that gives you access to these console abilities are currently not available for any player in-game. It remains to be seen whether Cryptic will allow this console set to become available.

Opened a lock box earlier to day and got a Hirogen hunter heavy escort.. (first time I've ever gotten a special ship from one of those things.. sold it on the exchage as fast as I could get to Qo'noS (zero interest in the Hirogen ships) bought a bunch of keys off the exchange and started opening lock boxes like a mad man. Didn't really care what I got.. I was after lobi to go buy q-mendations out of the lobi store with. Got all the lobi I needed to. Bought the qmendations I needed.

Got my Science DD, got it kitted out nose to tail with Mk-XII purple gear, and very very happy with it.. As a cannon armed Science ship with massive shields, and a very respectable turn rates it's a killer, Switching to Destroyer mode is just icing on the cake. No torps on my build.. Gun ship all the way, and now that they've fixed turrets so they get the cannon console bonus it's even nastier then it used would have been.

Why gun ships... simplifies my character build.. as a Science captain I'm pretty busy pounding keys and selecting the best times to pop abilities and powers without having to worry about any of the rest of it, and bear in mind the ship has a total of at best 5 TAC BOFF powers to choose from so a couple TT, CSM, CRF, and Omega-III in destroyer mode. I've got the single 360 beam array from the worf mission, a couple of Elcachi Mk-XII cresent turrets aft. Fwd firepower is 2 DHC Mk XII, and a 1 single cannon (doesn't give up much DPS for the 180 arc.. even if it doesn't have the burst damage of a DHC) and mix of consoles including one of the fancy dyson enhanced sci consoles. The load out can only get better.

Went into one of the borg red alerts to do what was essentially a check mission, and ripped up a tactical cube all by my self... which was a surprise.. I've not been able to pull that off even in one of my big fleet battlecruisers. The boss ships died awefully fast and I wouldn't be at all surprised if I was keeping pace with the escorts dps... and I was able to survive getting hit by one of those big fugly borg plasma thingies (also a first for me)

The Dyson Science Destroyer is in my opinion possibly going to be the most dangerous ship in the KDF line up for awhile. It's certainly utter fun for a Science captain!

No doubt those fed and rom players that have picked up their own have allready discovered just how amazingly capable this ship is. We KDF have our cloak, but we don't give much up for it over the Federation version of this ship, and the decloak buff adds significantly to our Alpha strike firepower. When the C-store version shows up likely we'll be able to do something about that some what unpleasant skin, but for now I can live with it. I suspect the White for Klingons is the color associated with Death. If it is, this all white hulled ship fits the bill of death personified in a star ship. And I thought this ship was dangerous the the FE missions.. Now that I have it kitted out somewhat to my liking its even more dangerous then the mission version

I am very very happy to have this ship, and to have a ship worthy of my lead character.

Honestly I think the KDF made out the best on this event. The Rom one isn't bad at all, but doesn't have the energy to run high-aux and high-weapons at the same time, the fold-out guns look silly, and in tac mode its basically just a slower T'varo without enhanced battlecloak, so a lot of it is redundant. And the Federation already had the Vesta and the MVAE (among others) and weren't exactly hurting for tac-heavy-sci or sci-heavy-tac. But for the KDF, its something totally new that they can make full use of, and IMO is the best looking and best-animated of the three. Might even end up buying the tac version. Useful addition.
